Once it grabs a hold of us, loneliness often won’t let go

Loneliness can hurt like a physical pain sometimes.

It’s a tight feeling in my chest; an anxiety in my stomach; a weariness deep in my bones. Just walking around, I can feel that my body and mind are fatigued, my reservoir of energy depleted by a chronic loneliness that just won’t go away.
